Feasibility of Low Carbon Renewable Energy City Integrated with Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems

This study evaluated the energy saving potential of renewable generation systems based on integrated solar in an urban environment. The city concept was implemented using photovoltaic (PV) and thermal systems. As a case study, Sejong national pilot smart South Korea selected to evaluate penetration rate. For evaluating proposed systems, electrical loads were estimated field measurement data. Then, rate evaluated. HomerPro software used analyze PV operating consumption natural gas (NG) generator with district heating network. load-supporting system TRNSYS software. results showed that could meet over 30% levelized cost total net present 7% lower than base (i.e., NG generator). also exhibited 38% less CO2 emissions system.
